Meet Scooby, one of our magnificent Great Dane sires here at Top of the Hill Kennel! With a name like Scooby, you might expect a little mischief, a big personality, and an even bigger appetite—and when you’re dealing with a Great Dane, there’s certainly plenty of dog to love! Scooby is a wonderful part of our kennel family, and his impressive size is matched only by the space he takes up in our hearts (and probably on the couch, if given the chance).

Great Danes are often called gentle giants, and it’s easy to see why these lovable dogs have earned such a devoted following. Despite their towering stature, they’re known for being affectionate, loyal companions who sometimes seem to forget just how big they really are. After all, who says a dog the size of a small horse can’t be a lapdog?

As one of our valued sires, Scooby is an important part of our breeding program, and we’re proud to introduce him to families interested in learning more about the parents behind our puppies.

Thinking about welcoming a Great Dane into your family? At Top of the Hill Kennel, we love helping families discover the joy of sharing their lives with these incredible dogs. Explore Scooby’s puppies below, check out our available and upcoming litters, and reach out with any questions. Whether you’re a longtime Great Dane enthusiast or considering your very first gentle giant, we’d love to help you find a four-legged friend who will fill your home with love—and take up a little extra room on the sofa!
